Preparation of Structure Controlled Fluorapatite Hydroxyapatite Microsphere by Dissolution Crystallization

Abstract: The purpose of this paper was to prepare fluorapatite microspheres with hydroxyapatite powers by simple methods.FAP microspheres were prepared by adding NaF into HAP suspension which was produced by dipped HAP powders into acetic acid-solution, and the suspension was stirred thoroughly and heated in water bath.The formation mechanism, structure and chemical constituent of the microspheres were investigated through various characterization including TEM, SEM, XRD and FT-IR.The results show that the morphology and structure of FAP microspheres could be controlled by change the pH value of acetic acid-solution.
