Research on the Mechanical Properties and Thermal Conductivity of 96 Alumina Ceramics

Abstract: The effect of sintering temperature on mechanical property and thermal property of alumina ceramics consolidated by pressureless sintering were investigated .The density , mechanical properties , thermal conductivity , microstructure , and phase composition were analyzed by Archimedes , three point bending , laser pulse method , scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction , respectively .The results showed that better thermal property and higher mechanical properties can be obtained at 1600 ℃and the value of thermal conductivity , density, hardness, bending strength are 24.9 W/(m· K), 3.82 g/cm3,(13.8 ±0.2) GPa, (362.9 ±26.9) MPa, respectively.
