Nucleation Process of Hexadecly Hydrogen Maleate(HHM) Crystals in Supersaturated Solution

  • Online:2004-08-15 Published:2021-01-20

Abstract: In this article, the nucleation process of hexadecly hydrogen maleate (HHM) crystals in supersaturated solution were studied and toluene was used as dissolvent. The nucleation rate indicated by inducement temporal hour was measured. Solid-liquid surface tension, nucleation free energy, critical nucleation radius were calculated according to classical nucleation theory. It can be presumed that the nucleation rate of HHM will increase with the rise of temperature and supersaturated ratio, when toluene used as dissolvent. And the property of dissolvent will change the nucleation rate.
