Preparation of Long-afterglow Nano-Zn3Ga2Ge2O10:Cr3 +0.01 , Pr3+0.03 , Yb3+0.3 by Sol-gel Method and Its Surface Modification

Abstract: Cr3+, Pr3+, Yb3+co-doped Zn3 Ga2 Ge2 O10 long afterglow nanophase powders were synthesized by sol-gel method from Ga(NO3)3· 8H2O, Zn(NO3)2· 6H2O, GeO2, Pr(NO3)2· 6H2O, Cr(NO3)2 · 9H2O, Yb(NO3)3· 5H2O and C3H8O7· H2O.Through XRD, SEM, excitation and emission decay curve, Zn3 Ga2 Ge2 O10 was formed after sintering at 1000 ℃ for 3 h.Samples have the best luminescent properties when the doping amount of Yb 3+is 0.3.Zn3Ga2Ge2O10:Cr3+0.01,Pr3 +0.03,Yb3+0.3 can emit deep cherry red light of 745 nm in the motivation of 267 nm UV excitation and the grain size is about 150 nm. With the increase of Yb3+ content, the grain size gradually becomes smaller .Through FT-IR, Zate potential , particle size TEM and suspension experiments , it is indicated that there is obvious core-shell structure after PEG modified PLNPs .Hydrated particle size of PEG-PLNPs is about 155 nm and the water solubility increases greatly which can suspense more than 48 h at the concentration of 0.3 mg/mL.The above shows that the PEG package PLNPs successfully .
