Preparation of Ni/SDC Anode Materials for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell by Nitrate-citric Acid Method

Abstract: NiO/Ce_(0.8)Sm_(0.2)O_(1.9)(NiO/SDC) composite powders were prepared by nitrate-citric acid method. The formation condition and phase composition of the powders was invertigated by DTA-TG and XRD. Specific surface area and particle size of the powders were also tested. Ni/SDC anode material were subsequently fabricated from the NiO/SDC powders by a press-sintering process. Their microstructure and related property were also investigated. The results showed that NiO/SDC powder with high specific area can be synthesized by the nitrate-citric acid method at a lower temperature. The as-prepared Ni/SDC anode materials had fine grain and pore size and high electrical conductivity.
