Abstract: ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by liquid phase method. The size control effects of Ethanol/Water solvents used in precipitation and the molten alkali salts in calcination were investigated. The products were charaterized by XRD, TEM, BET and PL. The results indicated that particle size decreased in the assisted calcination with NaNO_3 and LiNO_3 salts. With the same addition amount, the particle size obtained with LiNO_3 was smaller than the former. And the size decreased obviously when the ratio of ethanol to water changed from 1∶1 to 3∶1. Finally, the mechanisms of ethanol/water mixed system and molten salts media were also disscussed.
