Study on Cooperation Effect of Dopant Ions in Growth of KTNNP Crystals

摘要: 本文采用高温溶液法生长了不同掺质浓度的较大尺寸掺Nd3+和Nb5+KTP(KTNNP)晶体,以X射线单晶衍射仪测定了所生长晶体的晶胞参数,以等离子发射光谱(ICP-AES)法系统测定了晶体中的掺质浓度。实验结果显示,掺Nd3+和Nb5+后,KTP晶体生长习性和形态发生了很大的变化,而且体系中Nd3+的分配系数明显增大,并随Nb5+浓度的增大而增大,从而体现了Nb5+对Nd3+的协同效应。另外,掺质后,晶体的单胞体积一般略有增大,但未呈现出规律性。

Abstract: The Nd3+ and Nb5+ doped KTP(KTNNP) crystals with different dopant concentrations have been grown in high temperature solutions.The lattice parameter of the crystals have been determined by X-ray diffractometer,and the concentrations of the dopants in the crystals have been measured systematically by ICP-AES.The result of the experiments shows that the growth habit and the morphology of KTP crystal have changed greatly and the distribution coefficient of Nd3+ has increased obviously after the doping of Nd3+ and Nb5+ in the crystal growth system,the latter incarnates the cooperation effect of Nb5+ on Nd3+.Otherwise,the volume of the crystal unit cell increase slightly with no regularity after doping.
